HotShots is a screenshot application written in Qt. It is particularly designed for writing documentations, but it can also be used as a stand-alone screenshot tool.
Among HotShots features are:

To install HotShots on Ubuntu, simply add the following PPA to your software sources:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:dhor/myway
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install hotshots
